Salman Khan returns with Dus Ka Dum after 9 years to a mixed reaction from viewers

Salman Khan is back on television but not as a host for Bigg Boss. The actor is now hosting Dus Ka Dum on Sony again after a gap of nine years.

The new season’s first episode premiered on Monday night and opened to a mixed reaction from viewers. While some found Salman charming, others thought the questions were too boring.

The show, which first aired in 2008, has a complex format as per which, two contestants are pitted against each other and the contestant who makes the right guess wins. On Monday, Shama Parvin of Bareily won Rs 6,00,000.

The viewers, however, do not seem too happy with the show. “#DusKaDum show apne standard ko maintain nhi kr paya @BeingSalmanKhan ki vjah se log dekhenge otherwise show mei koi dum nhi hai (Dus Ka Dum couldn’t maintain its standard. People might watch it for Salman Khan otherwise there is nothing to the show),” a viewer wrote on Twitter.

Others gushed about Salman on social media. “#DusKaDum acha lga sbko @BeingSalmanKhan Bhai ka javab nhi (Everyone liked Dus Ka Dum. Salman is incomparable),” tweeted another.
