Billionaire Mukesh Ambani carries Aadhaar card in plastic packet at polling station, wins hearts with simplicity
Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, who voted in Mumbai, urged everyone to cast their votes.
As Mumbai voted today in the fifth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, his wife and founder of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani, and elder son Akash Ambani also stepped out to participate in this democratic exercise.

“Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani along with their son arrive at a voting centre in Mumbai to cast their vote for Lok Sabha Elections 2024,” wrote news agency ANI on X.

After casting her vote at the Malabar Hill polling booth, Nita Ambani said, “It is important as an Indian citizen to vote. It is our right and responsibility to vote. I urge everybody in India to go out and exercise their right to vote.”

A few social media users even spotted Mukesh Ambani carrying his Aadhaar card in a transparent pouch and hailed him for his “simplicity”.
An individual wrote, “Aadhaar card, har bhartiya ki tarah thaili me [Aadhaar card in transparent packet like every Indian]. ”
“Simplicity of Ambanis,” said another.
Earlier in the day, Anil Ambani cast his vote at a polling booth in Mumbai. He was seen standing in a queue, patiently waiting for his turn at the booth. A video of him standing in the queue was shared on X by ANI.
The video shows Anil Ambani, dressed in a blue shirt, standing outside a black-coloured gate, waiting for his turn to vote. As he is waiting, he can also be seen having conversations with other citizens.
Mumbai North, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East, Mumbai North Central, Mumbai South, and Mumbai South Central are the constituencies voting in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls, which is the final phase of polling in Maharashtra.
The other constituencies of Maharashtra that are part of the fifth phase include Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Kalyan, Palghar, Bhiwandi and Thane.
