The post on Reddit about a manager asking a man to cancel his plans and come to work on his day off has irked people.

A conversation between a manager and his employee has left people irked. A post shared on Reddit explains how the manager wanted the man to come to the office on his day off. The manager further added that he shouldn’t have any issues coming on his off day because he is “single”.

“So this just happened and I’m almost numb atm [At the moment]. I hope I don’t regret this tomorrow as I do enjoy my job, but management is rough,” reads the caption posted along with the video. The post is shared with a screenshot that shows a conversation between the man and his manager.

The conversation shows how the manager wanted the man to come to work on his day off. He politely refused and asked them to ask another colleague. To which, the manager replied, “Brian is married with a kid, I'm not asking him on short notice. You're single, why can't you come in?” The matter escalated quickly when he further refused. And eventually, he quit on the spot.
