However, when smartphones were still being developed, it almost seemed like a distant dream. Recently, an article published in Mansfield News Journal from 1963 has gone viral on the internet for showing what people thought of smartphones at that time.
"You'll be able to carry phone in pocket in future," read the article's headline. The article further explains that the phone is a "laboratory development which is workable.
