Mohanlal Viswanathan Nair, known as Mohanlal is a Malayalam superstar. He made his acting debut with Thiranottam in 1978 at the age of 18. He completed his bachelor's degree from Mahatma Gandhi college. He has made a mark on Malayalam cinema with his films like Rajavinte Makan, Company, Spadikam and Kireedam. He is the founder of ViswaSanthi Foundation, which works for the underprivileged action of the society. He was honoured with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Indian cinema. He is married to Suchitra Mohanlal. He has appeared in advertisements like Malabar Gold and Diamonds and Oceanus.
