World boss Ashava dominates Diablo 4 beta with 10 million player kills, impressive kill-death ratio
The Diablo 4 beta has been the largest beta test in the game’s history, with nearly 2.6 million players reaching level 20
Diablo 4 beta testers were given a treat with the chance to go up against Ashava, a world boss that proved to be an unstoppable force. In fact, according to recent stats from Blizzard, Ashava took down a staggering 10,163,397 players, which translates to almost a quarter of all player deaths during the beta period.

The Diablo 4 beta has been the largest beta test in the game’s history, with nearly 2.6 million players reaching level 20, earning the coveted beta wolf pack reward. Over 62 million hours of gameplay were logged during the free trial, and over 29 billion monsters were slain. However, it’s the statistics for Ashava that have garnered the most attention.
Despite appearing at preset times during the beta, Ashava proved to be a formidable foe, achieving an impressive kill-death ratio of 100:1. Although Blizzard initially claimed that no one had managed to solo the boss, some videos have surfaced online that seem to show just that. One player, who shared a video of their success, said they disabled crossplay and attempted the feat at 7am to minimize the competition.
Aside from Ashava’s dominance, the beta also revealed the most popular classes among players: the sorcerer and necromancer, both of which were strong choices for clearing enemies, even at lower levels. The rogue proved to be a personal favorite for some testers, while the barbarian struggled initially but gained popularity as players discovered viable builds. As for the druid, further testing is needed.
