Genshin Impact update 3.8 leaks: Eula and Klee reruns and more!

A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed information about which characters might be featured on the Limited Character Banner in the upcoming updates.

The game developer and publisher, HoYoverse, has introduced a pattern of featuring reruns for a specific character approximately every 5 to 6 updates, allowing players to get their hands on the characters whose initial release they might have missed.

The current banner cycle features a new five-star character named Baizhu and one of the oldest units in the Genshin roster, the Cryo Bow user Ganyu. Baizhu is not the only new character in this update as the four-star lineup includes the new Sumeru architect known as Kaveh.

A notorious Twitter-based Genshin Impact leaker, HutaoLover77 has revealed several pieces of information about which characters will receive reruns in update 3.8.

The leak suggests the two playable units that are locked for 3.8 are the Cryo Claymore character Eula and the Pyro user Klee. Eula is a descendant of the infamous Lawrence Clan, and she currently serves as the captain of the Reconnaissance Company with the Knights of Favonius. She holds the record for skipping the highest number of consecutive banners in the action-roleplaying game's history with 12 missed updates. Eula's last rerun was over 500 days ago back in 2.3 versions in which she was revealed alongside the Geo user Albedo on the game's first double banner.

Another Geo character named Arataki Itto, who was part of the second banner cycle of the same update, has received two reruns since then.

The leaker has confirmed that Eula will be the main character in Genshin Impact version 3.8, which means that she will probably receive a new Story Quest line. The fact that she will play a major role at the end of the Sumeru arc is probably the main reason why HoYoverse keeps delaying Eula's banner appearance.

The Pyro user Klee will also be a part of the same update, which led many players to believe that version 3.8 will most likely host the Golden Apple Archipelago. This annual event was first arranged by Klee's mother, the powerful Mondstadt mage known as Alice.

HutaoLover77 clarified that there is a significant chance that the popular Hydro catalyst user Sangonomiya Kokomi will also be one of the featured characters in Genshin Impact update 3.8. Her last appearance was way back in update 3.0, in which she appeared alongside the Dendro bow user Tighnari.

However, it is worth noting that leaks and rumors should always be taken with a grain of salt as they are not official announcements from the horse’s mouth.
