The competition between the Asus ROG Ally and the Steam Deck is heating up, and gamers eagerly await release of both the devices.

Asus ROG Ally, the new handheld gaming PC designed to compete with the Steam Deck, has had its price revealed online, giving potential customers an estimate of its cost upon release. The Steam Deck has been a success since its launch last year, leading to a surge in the handheld gaming PC market. The Asus ROG Ally is the latest addition to this growing range of handheld consoles. With lucrative specifications, the Asus ROG Ally has the potential to give the Steam Deck a run for its money.

One of the Asus ROG Ally's most notable features is its 1920x1080 screen ratio with a 120Hz refresh rate, it surpasses the Steam Deck's 1280x800 resolution. The ROG Ally features RDNA 3 graphics, which is one step ahead of the Steam Deck's RDNA 2. The higher-end ROG Ally also comes with 512GB of storage capacity as standard and runs on Windows 11, offering better compatibility and optimization than a Linux-based operating system.

Many have been curious about the price point of the Asus ROG Ally. According to a leak shared by Twitter leaker Wickedkhumz, BestBuy accidentally revealed the price of the higher-end model of Asus's portable console, but the page has since been taken down. The device reportedly costs $699.99 and features an AMD Z1 Extreme chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. This means that the 512GB version of the ROG Ally is only $51 more expensive than the 512GB Steam Deck.

Additionally, a leak by SnoopyTech also claimed that the price of the ASUS ROG Ally with AMD Z1 Extreme would be $699.99.

It is important to remember that leaks are not always accurate, and the price could be a placeholder or subject to change until the official release or confirmation from Asus. However, if the leaked price of $699.99 for the flagship model is accurate, it represents a highly competitive price point given the impressive hardware specifications of the Asus ROG Ally.

The Asus ROG Ally also has a sleek and functional design, weighing 608g with dimensions of 280x113x39mm. The device features Xbox-style controls with 2x rear macro buttons, dual Dolby Atmos speakers, dual cooling fans, and haptic feedback for an immersive gaming experience. Connectivity options include 1x USB-C with DisplayPort, 1x Asus XG connector for external GPUs, 1x headphone jack, and 1x microSD slot. The device also supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth and features a fingerprint unlock for added security.
