Webb telescope spots three debris belts around luminous star Fomalhaut
NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has made its first discovery, identifying three concentric dusty rings of debris orbiting a star called Fomalhaut in our Milky Way galaxy, a quantum leap forward in the study of the complex framework that exists around stars. The three nested belts extend out to 14 billion miles from Fomalhaut, about 150 times the distance of Earth to the sun. The observations from Webb, which was launched in 2021 and began collecting data last year, were made by its Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI).

Potential presence of primitive lunar mantle materials on Chandrayaan-3 landing site: Study
Chandrayaan-3's landing site revealed high sulphur levels, suggesting presence of primitive lunar mantle materials from the South Pole-Aitken basin's formation 4.3 billion years ago, offering insights into early lunar evolution and composition.
