'Ring of fire' solar eclipse today: Where to witness the rare phenomenon?

A "ring of fire" eclipse of the sun occurred on Saturday, cutting across the Americas from Oregon to Brazil. Small towns along its path prepared for an influx of visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of the celestial event, which is also known as an annular solar eclipse. Unlike a total solar eclipse, the moon does not completely cover the sun during a ring of fire eclipse, leaving a bright border. The eclipse path included parts of the US, Mexico, Central America, and Brazil, with other areas in the Western Hemisphere experiencing a partial eclipse.
