Japan's Moon lander put to sleep after surviving its second long lunar night
Japan's Moon lander, the Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM), survived its second lunar night despite landing at a wonky angle. The spacecraft, dubbed the "Moon Sniper," transmitted new images back to Earth before being put to sleep again by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) on Sunday. JAXA is monitoring the probe's status, particularly its Multi-band Camera for examining lunar rocks.
