Elon Musk's 'successful failure' formula: Experts on Starship explosion

Experts have praised the ?successful failure? of SpaceX?s Starship rocket, which exploded minutes after lift-off from its launch pad during its first test flight. The loss of the rocket will help accelerate development of the vehicle, according to the University of Southern California?s Garrett Reisman. Speaking to Reuters, Reisman argued that SpaceX?s strategy of embracing failure when the consequences are low sets the company apart from traditional aerospace businesses. Fellow expert Tanya Harrison said the rocket?s potential gains far outweighed the risks of a single test flight.
