There is no stopping angry cop Vikram in Saamy Square trailer
Saamy Square promises to be a typical masala potboiler and its trailer has enough action and forceful dialogues to keep Vikram’s fans happy.
The first trailer of Saamy Square, the sequel to the highly successful 2003 film Saamy, was unveiled on Sunday.

From the trailer, it looks like Saamy Square will be a typical Tamil potboiler. There is enough knuckle-breaking, muscle flexing and car crashing. Chiyaan Vikram, who will reprise his role from Saamy as Aarusaamy, plays an IPS officer, who is perpetually angry. He bashes people, shoots at will and stops at nothing. The trailer features Aarusaamy even slapping his lady love, Keerthy Suresh. However, we are more than certain that he is an honest officer.
In Bobby Simha, Vikram finds an able opponent, who challenges and provokes in equal measure. The film has been shot at various places across India -- in the trailer, we see glimpses of Delhi, Rajasthan and the Taj Mahal in Agra.
The film has been produced by Shibu Thameens while its music is by Devi Sri Prasad. Apart from its lead cast of Vikram, Keerthy and Simha, it also stars Soori, Prabhu, John Vijay and Ishwarya.
Directed by Hari, Vikram will return as the hot-headed, foul-mouthed and uptight cop Aarusaamy in the sequel.
In May this year, the first look motion poster of the film was released. From it, one could sense that the story starts in Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu and ends in New Delhi. The motion poster features Vikram seated on what appears to be a milestone. On one side, it is written Tirunelveli and as the camera pans, we can read New Delhi written on the other side.
