Nivin Pauly to play theatre actor and writer NN Pillai in biopic by Rajeev Ravi

Rajeev Ravi, who is a well-know cinematographer and has directed movies like Annayum Rasoolum and Dulquer Salmaan’s Kammattipadam, will be directing the biopic of popular theatre actor and writer NN Pillai. Nivin Pauly, who was last seen in Njandukkalide Nattil Orideval, will be portraying the role of the legendary writer. Rajeev took to his official Facebook page to announce the same and wrote, “Nivin, Hope your special day brings you all that your heart desires! Looking forward to see you this year as N Narayana Pillai, the legendary humanist, freedom fighter, dramaturge and actor…”

Nivin confirmed his part in the film on his official Twitter page and wrote, “Extremely happy to be associated for an exciting project master craftsman #RajeevRavi! This is truly an honour.”

The screenplay for the movie has been written by Gopan Chidambaram and the man behind the camera for this project will be Madhu Neelakandan. Produced by E4 Entertainments, this film is about the man who wrote 30 Malayalam plays and about 40 one-act plays. Some of his popular works include Easwaran Arrestil, Kapalika, Prethalokam, Gorilla, Folydol, Kanakku Chembakaraman. He also wrote his autobiography titled “Njaan”.

Currently, Nivin Pauly is working on his film Kayamkulam Kochunni, for which he is also receiving training in Kalaripayattu. He will be seen in Love Action Drama opposite Nayanthara and Hey Jude opposite Trisha and soon will also make his Tamil debut with Richie. The Malayalam star has been busy throughout the year with multiple successful releases.
