Is Arya a forgetful fan of Rajinikanth? Decoding Ghajinikanth
Ghainikanth stars Arya and Sayyeshaa in lead roles and is helmed by Santosh P Jayakumar.
The first poster for Arya’s upcoming film Ghajinkanth, directed by Santosh P Jayakumar, was released on the eve of Rajinikanth’s birthday on December 11. The second poster, featuring Sayyeshaa, was released on Wednesday. The first poster shows Arya mirroring Rajinikanth in Dharmathin Thalaivan.

In a scene in Dharmathin Thalaivan, Rajinikanth forgets to wear his ‘veshti’ and walks out of his home. He doesn’t realise this until people start pointing at him and laughing. On the poster of Ghajinikanth, Arya too seems to have forgotten his veshti.
If the ‘Ghajini’ in the title is a way to pay homage to AR Murugadoss movie starring Suriya - the film dealt with short term memory loss - does Arya play a forgetful Rajinikanth fan in Ghajinikanth? How does a man with a short memory have a successful love life, because the second poster features Arya and Sayyeshaa embracing each other. Similar plots are being discussed by fans on Twitter.
The crew will begin their next schedule soon and Sayyeshaa, who shared her look on Twitter, wrote, “Here’s @arya_offl and my look from #GhajiniKanth. Really excited to join the team for our next lap of shoot! Wish us luck!”
The music for the film will be composed by Balamurali Balu. Ghajinikanth is produced by Studio Green and is expected to release in Summer, 2018.
Arya was last seen in Kadamban and is currently awaiting the release of his debut movie Rajaratha. He is also a part of the big-budget period film, Sanghamithra, helmed by Sundar C.
