Gautham Menon likely to play Dhruv Vikram’s father in Varma
It is being speculated that Gautham Vasudev Menon will play Dhruv Vikram’s father in Arjun Reddy’s Tamil remake titled Adithya Varma.

The remake, which has been titled Adithya Varma, will be directed by Girisayya, former associate of Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Vanga.
The film, slated to go on the floors from next month, also features Banita Sandhu, who will be essaying the leading lady and Priya Anand in a crucial role.
Popular lensman Ravi K Chandran has been roped in to crank the camera. Radhan will compose music.
The remake was originally announced last year and national award-winning filmmaker Bala was roped in to direct the project.
However, the makers decided to scrap the version directed by Bala following disappointment over the final output.
According to an official statement released by the makers, “E4 Entertainment has engaged B studios to recreate the Tamil version of Arjun Reddy titled as Varmaa, on a first copy basis, on the latter’s insistence. We at E4 Entertainment are not happy with the final version handed over to us and due to various creative and other differences; we have decided not to release this version.”
In a statement, Bala had revealed that it was his decision to leave the project and denied allegations made by the producers.
“I am forced to release this explanation, due to the false statement from the producer of Varmaa. In order to safeguard creative freedom, it was my own decision to relieve myself from the project. Considering Dhruv Vikram’s future, I would like to end this here.”
