Bhaskar Oru Rascal trailer: Arvind Swami and Amala Paul play the role of single parents in this Siddique directorial.
Arvind Swami and Amala Paul are coming together on screen for the first time in Bhaskar Oru Rascal, the remake of Malayalam film Bhaskar The Rascal. Arvind Swami and Amala Paul play the role of single parents to a boy and a girl respectively. The kids happen to be friends at school and it is through them that Arvind and Amala meet. Arvind’s son is mature for his age, patient and is against violence. Amala’s daughter thinks that violence is the solution to any problem.
The parents are polar opposites too and initially don’t get along very well. How this two families get together is the crux of the story. Arvind Swami’s role is not exactly that of a thug. He is successful and well-respected, but he has a prickly exterior that Amala’s daughter comes to love. Amala, on the other hand, is the caring, careful and patient mother who Arvind’s son comes to love. After an Eureka moment, the two kids try to set their parents up and dream of living together as the perfect family.
Directed by Siddique, who also helmed the original film starring Mammootty and Nayanthara in the lead roles, this film has music composed by Amrish. The movie is bankrolled by Harshini Movies. The makers are yet to announce the release date.
Arvind Swami, is also awaiting the release of two other films. He has worked with Dhuruvangal Pathinaru director Karthick Naren in Naragasooran, which is expected to release in February. He will also be seen alongside Trisha in Sathuranga Vettai 2, directed by N V Nirmal Kumar.
Actor Amala Paul, on the other hand, was last seen in the film Thiruttu Payale 2 opposite Bobby Simha and Prasanna. The film received a positive response from audience and critics.
