Following that, for VIP duties, cops were deployed since early morning too.
Cops who were deployed at Capitol Complex, the main venue where Modi performed, had in fact reached at 2am so that proper arrangements could be checked.
Traffic cops were deployed almost in all parking lots around the Capitol Complex to see vehicles were parked in a proper way.
One of the cops said the duty hours were very long as the PM reached around 10 pm the previous night and they were deployed on that route too at about 7 pm on Monday evening; and then from 2.30 am, they were again main event duty.
10-min halt for PM movement
Cops halted the movement of vehicles in city when the PM moved from Raj Bhawan to Capitol Complex in the morning around 6.30 am. And similarly while he moved from there to the airport around 8.30 am.
