Earlier on Friday, the All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) leader Hawa Singh Sangwan had made an announcement that they would block the railway track of Mayyar village. Later, Sangwan got support from AIJASS National leader Yashpal Malik. However, Sangwan and his group had lifted the blockade after Haryana agriculture minister OP Dhankar assured the Jats that they would get reservation if Centre accepted to give reservation to the Jats of nine states.

On Wednesday, several youths gathered near the railway track and the under-construction toll plaza and started shouting slogans against the government. Meanwhile, district president of AIJASS Rambhagat Malik also reached the spot with youths and jammed the NH-10 (Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Rohtak to Delhi) route, leaving huge traffic chaos.

Police maintained distance

As Jat protesters started blocking the railway and national highway, the Hisar police was seen managing distance about 5kms from the dharna spot. The Hisar deputy superintendent of police Sidharth Dhanda and SHO sadar Lalit Kumar reached the spot with heavy police force.
