With the city set to host the high-profile Heart of Asia conference on December 3 and 4, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be at the opening, will pay obeisance at the Golden Temple.

The PM will walk through the newly built Heritage Street; and so will other delegates in different time slots, said a district administration official.

Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal is likely to be with Modi, and had recently asked the police commissioner, Amar Singh Chahal, to ensure that the no-vehicle zone rule for the street is implemented effectively.
