The birth anniversary would be “celebrated as a massive event of global magnitude with focus on the Guru’s message on peace, humanism, love and universal brotherhood and its relevance in the emerging national and international scenario”, a spokesman here said. The key decisions taken at the high-level meeting included setting up of a research foundation under the chairmanship of the chief minister for which a corpus fund of Rs 5 crore would be created.
The chief minister would be holding a series of meetings with eminent Sikh scholars and solicit their cooperation in helping the government to spread the message of the Sikh gurus across the globe, the spokesman added.
