I have always loved coming to Punjab as it turns out to be a special experience every time. World over people from the state are known for their warm hospitality and the villages for its natural beauty, says Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, who reached the city, where he was invited as a chief guest at an inauguration event, on Sunday late night.

Despite being late for over two hours, Shetty’s fans were gathered in large number, waiting for his arrival to catch a glimpse. The moment the actor stepped at the venue, it became hard to control his fans, who failed to put a full stop to their excitement.

Shetty told Hindustan Times that he visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, before coming to Ludhiana. “I am at so much peace when I visit the Golden Temple. Every time I visit Punjab, I make sure I pay obeisance at the temple. I feel it is a must visit for all, be it from any part of the world,” he shared ebulliently.

Taking the conversation further, he says considering that so many Bollywood films are being shot in Punjab it seems that the state has become a favourite hub for the Bollywood. “I remember when we came to Punjab for shooting our films ‘Krishna’ and ‘Border’, which covered shooting at several parts of Jalandhar and Chandigarh, people got excited for seeing our shoot, and I must say villages of Punjab offer the best natural beauty for film shootings,” he reveals, adding, “Lucky are those who get a chance to shoot in Punjab.”

On what advice he would give to the youngsters and their parents, the Bollywood star says parents should support their children for turning their passion into profession as it makes life interesting, meaningful, satisfying and jovial. “I feel parents support in a child’s career is a must as it has been rightly said, ‘a bird can never fly on its one wing’. I am happy that I supported my daughter Athiya Shetty. She loves her work,” he adds.
