It has been two years since two persons were killed in police firing during a protest against sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib at Behbal Kalan village, but the policemen guilty of opening the fire are yet to be identified as the forensic report of arms is still awaited.

On October 21, 2015, the police had registered a case against unidentified persons under Sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 34 (acts did by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and the Arms Act at the Bajakhana police station.
