APICON and Ranbaxy made a vegetable heart mosaic measuring 5,165.85 sq ft (480 sq metre), surpassing the record of Inamino Sports Centre in Kako, Japan, where a 4,327 sq ft vegetable mosaic was created.

The seven-layer vegetable mosaic on a heart sign, promoting food for healthy heart, was made by using 19,825 kg of vegetables. It took 10 hours to make the mosaic that comprised cabbage, brinjal, cauliflower, zucchini, carrot, cucumber, garlic, red capsicum and red chillies.

Jack Brockbank, Guinness World Records adjudicator, said, "It's always exciting to witness a successful attempt break a Guinness World Records title, especially when it's for a good cause. We are pleased to present APICON Ludhiana-2014 and Ranbaxy with the new title for the largest vegetable mosaic."
