Aam Aadmi Party welcomes Navjot Sidhu’s resignation on Twitter

Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu’s sudden but not entirely unexpected resignation from the Rajya Sabha is being welcomed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders on Twitter.

Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur took to the micro-blogging site to express his happiness on Sidhu’s resignation and also said that Sidhu was “most welcomed to join AAP”.

AAP’s Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh too expressed his happiness on Twitter, calling the resignation a “brave step”.
