A case of murder has been registered against three students and their accomplices who are yet to be identified. Police have rounded up one of the accused, who is a student of Class 10.
A clash between two groups of school students, mostly minors, turned fatal after one of the ex-students was stabbed to death with a kitchen knife in Khanna on Saturday.

A case of murder has been registered against three students and their accomplices who are yet to be identified. Police have rounded up one of the accused, who is a student of Class 10.
The deceased has been identified as Pardeep Singh, 18, of Kaudi village. He was a former student of Walia English Model Senior Secondary School, Khanna. The clash occurred near the school in the afternoon.
Khanna superintendent of police (SP, investigation) Jasbir Singh said some students of the school had a spat with a Class 9 student, who is an asthma patient. His brother, who studies in Class 10, raised objection and had a heated argument with them on Friday, he said.
After school got over on Saturday afternoon, students from both groups clashed with each other. Pardeep Singh, who had come there in support of one of the groups, got stabbed with a kitchen knife in his stomach and private parts. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Meanwhile, the students who got him hospitalised fled.
School principal Rakesh Walia confirmed the victim was a former student. However, he claimed some outsiders had a scuffle near the school.
