The test, conducted by the central board of secondary education for making a candidate eligible for appointment as a schoolteacher, will be organised at 16 examination centres. Candidates can apply only online for the test on the websites of the CBSE and CTET.
CTET city coordinator Paramjit Kaur, the principal of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School in Shastri Nagar, said, “Our school is the facilitation centre and will help candidates submit applications online.
Candidates can visit the school between 10 am and 2pm.” Candidates can submit their applications online between october 11 and 31. The national council for teacher education (NCTE) has made it compulsory for teachers of Classes 1 to 8 to have cleared CTET.
