Vinesh Phogat did the impossible to start off her campaign and ended it by breaking a glass ceiling for Indian women at the Olympics. She became the first Indian to reach the final in women's wrestling at the Olympics on an extraordinary Day 11 for Indians in Paris. Vinesh had to face Japanese Olympic champion Yui Sasaki in her first bout in women's 50kg wrestling. Let alone being beaten, Sasaki has rarely every been pushed in any match that she has played in her international career. She had 82 wins out of 82 matches to her name. Vinesh handed Sasaki her first defeat in her 83rd bout and sent tidal waves throughout the world of wrestling. (PTI)
