Modi was in Lakshadweep on January 2 and 3 to inaugurate the Kochi-Lakshadweep Islands Submarine Optical Fiber Connection and lay foundation stone for the renovation of primary healthcare facility and five model Anganwadi centres. A pulsating match that was marred by rain breaks in the second innings finally finished Gujarat Titans' way as they beat the Mumbai Indians by three wickets off the very last ball of the match. GT's 156-run target was reduced to 147 needed off 19 overs when a rain break forced players off after the 18th.
