Seasonal Affective Disorder, also known as Winter Depression, is a type of depression where the symptoms come and go in a seasonal pattern. With the onset of winter, the symptoms are seen to accelerate. Some of the common symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder are social withdrawal, fatigue, helplessness and depression. "Navigating the duality of embracing the season's beauty while also grappling with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) can be tricky and confusing. But there are biological and societal reasons why the changing of seasons can be difficult for even the biggest sweater weather fan," wrote Therapist Andrea Evgeniou.
