Lightning strike damages elephant statue at Lucknow's Ambedkar Park

Different parts of Lucknow witnessed heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in the last couple of days.

A lightning strike damaged a 10 feet tall marble elephant statue positioned near the entrance of Ambedkar Park in Lucknow on Monday. The incident occurred at around 3:30 am, during a thunderstorm.  (PTI)

The park, dedicated to the memory of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a prominent Dalit leader and the architect of the Indian Constitution, features numerous elephant statues. (PTI)

No injuries were reported in the incident. The park is renowned as a popular tourist attraction and is frequented daily by many local residents.
