Kargil Vijay Diwas is marked every year to pay homage to the fallen soldiers in the 1999 Kargil conflict with Pakistan. On the occasion of the 24th Anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas which is being observed today, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Manoj Pande, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, other top Army Commanders and Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Brig (Retd) BD Mishra laid wreaths at Kargil War Memorial in Dras, Ladakh.
