HTLS Day 3 wrap up: Jaishankar on security, Valter Longo on longevity and more

On the third day of Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, prominent personalities from various walks of life talked about what the ‘New World Order’ stands in their fields. In the first session, former Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Mishra, during whose tenure Article 377 annulment came into existence, spoke with Utkarsh Anand, national legal editor of Hindustan Times. In the following session, external affairs minister S Jaishankar joined in conversation with Pramit Pal Chaudhuri, foreign affairs expert, in which he talked about India’s security matters, Afghanistan and relation with neighbouring countries. The last session featured biogerontologist and cell biologist Valter Longo, who threw light on the secrets of longevity and the correct diet one needs to follow for the same, while in conversation with health communications specialist Sanchita Sharma.

He added that the UAE is one key region in India’s western neighbourhood that has been ignored from diplomatic perspective. “Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the last Indian head to the state to visit the country was Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
