The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued an alert that a dense to very dense layer of fog has engulfed Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. (ANI)

The thick blanket of fog has lead to poor visibility in several cities. According to data recorded on Tuesday morning at 5:30 am, the visibility in Delhi's Palam area was just 25 metres, while in Safdarjung, it was 50 metres.(ANI)

On Monday, the IMD said, “Dense to Very Dense Fog conditions likely to continue over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during next 4-5 days”.(ANI)

IMD has also issued a yellow alert until December 23 - forecasting moderate to dense fog to continue in Delhi. While dense fog is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, moderate to dense fog is expected on Thursday.(ANI)

GT hence needed 15 runs to win int he one over that could be bowled after resumption and they completed it with a single off the last ball of the match.
