Amit Shah visits Vaishno Devi shrine amid J&K visit| In pics
Union home minister Amit Shah, who is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, visited the famous Mata Vaishno Devi shrine atop Trikuta hills in Reasi district on Tuesday on the occasion of Maha Navami - the concluding day of the nine-day Navratri celebrations. Shah will fly to the border district of Rajouri to address a public rally after leaving the shrine. On Monday, Shah also met with people of different communities including Gujjar-Bakarwal, Rajput, and Pahari. The home minister has arrived at the union territory to check on the security situation, and attend public meetings. At the security meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, top officials of the Army, paramilitary forces, and state police will join the minister. Before concluding his visit, Shah will also lay foundation stones for development projects in Srinagar.
