Serious governance deficit in Bihar: Raghubar Das
Das said people of the state were no longer interested in the circus and would reject the Kumar-led government thoroughly in the upcoming assembly polls.
Das said people of the state were no longer interested in the circus and would reject the Kumar-led government thoroughly in the upcoming assembly polls.

The Jharkhand CM was speaking at a ‘Teli-Sahu Sammelan’ organised by the BJP at the SK Memorial hall here.
Without naming Kumar and RJD president Lalu Prasad, Das said that people would not tolerate their politics of “casteism, communalism and regionalism”, as the masses were now convinced that they would not gain anything from ‘divisive politics’.
“Now, people are craving for development and good governance. They do not want negative politics,” he said.
Apparently referring to Nitish Kumar, the Jharkhand CM said his over- ambition to become Prime Minister of the country had pushed development of the state to the bygone era. Everything was fine in Bihar during the NDA regime, he added.
“One fine mor ning, he becomes a claimant for the PM’s position, and the next day he wants to become the CM. If this attitude continues, one day it would be difficult for him to win even the election of a mukhiya,” he said.
Das said, he ( read Nitish Kumar) had resigned from the chief minister’s post, because he did not want to bow before a Prime Minister, who was earlier a tea-seller. And it is a quirk of fate that the same person had to bend before the same PM now.
He said two ‘bigheaded’ leaders of the state had set their ‘evil eye’ on Bihar. “While one of them doesn’t think beyond his family, the other thinks only about himself,” he said
Claiming that both the JD(U) and the RJD would be wiped out completely in the coming assembly polls, he appealed to the people to vote for a party, which would restore Bihar’s glorious past and put development at the top of the state’s agenda.
He urged the masses to rise above caste, community and creed and vote for a party, which “thinks about your progress and wellbeing”.
Das said, just like Jharkhand, Bihar too would have to take a decisive action and reject the ‘politics of opportunism and give importance to opportunities’. “The state needs electricity, not false promises,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, senior party leader Sushil Kumar Modi said the BJP was the only party in Bihar, which had given due respect to the people belonging to ‘teli’ caste. “In fact, ours is the only party, which has all along given importance to people belonging to all castes and communities and we will continue to do so in future too,” he claimed.
Leader of opposition in the state assembly Nand Kishore Yadav said the BJP had given representation to ‘teli’ caste in the past too, as two of its members were made ministers during the NDA regime in Bihar.
Other prominent speakers included Rameshwar Teli, MP from Dibrugarh, Assam, BJP legislators Ram Narayan Mandal and Sunil Kumar Pintu. Sushma Sahu conducted the programme.
