It is cold-blooded murder: Nitish Kumar
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the post mortem report of Rahul Raj confirmed that the Mumbai police killed him in a fake encounter, reports Vijay Swaroop.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Thursday that the post mortem report of Rahul Raj confirmed that the Mumbai police killed him in a fake encounter.

“It’s a cold-blooded murder. He was shot from behind. We demand that a murder case be instituted against the cops involved in this fake encounter,” Kumar told mediapersons. He said that the post mortem report and the one submitted by the IG (CID), point towards the killing and added that he had said on the day of the incident that he was killed.
The Chief Minister said that whatever is coming in media leaves no doubt that that he was killed and urged the centre to get the matter enquired from this angle as well.
Raising doubts over the investigation carried out by the crime branch of the Mumbai police, Kumar demanded that it be now handed over to CBI. “Crime Branch is a part of Mumbai police and it will try to cover the police’s role,” he said and added that an all-party had already demanded a judicial probe into the incident.
Kumar also pulled up the Centre and UPA ministers from Bihar for its ‘soft’ approach towards the Maharashtra government. “I fail to understand what type of action it has initiated against the Maharashtra government. The ball is in UPA government. What are the Union ministers from the state doing?” he asked and warned that if anybody tries to cover up the issue, he won’t succeed. “Truth will ultimately win,” he said.
