Indian Olympic Association joint secretary Kuldeep Vats is in trouble.

Delhi Police has filed an FIR against Vats and another person, Jagmohan Singh following up on a complaint by former Indian volleyball captain Sandeep Sharma, who has alleged them “cheating, fraud and misappropriation of R40 Lakhs from him”.
Sharma, as it is alleged in the FIR no.0322, registered with the Ashok Vihar police station, was asked to fund a part of the total amount to buy MIG flat no.33F, second floor with roof rights, in BB block in Janakpuri by the duo in December 2014.
After he was assured of quick profit of R10 lakh over his share of R40 in the purchase of the said flat, Sharma, who was part of the bronze medal team at the 1986 Asian Games in Seoul, paid up R40 lakh. And as promised Sharma was issued two cheques in March 2015 worth R30 and R10 but when presented for clearance the cheques were dishonoured.
Sharma later on got to know that the said property was never put up for sale. Sharma first registered a complaint with the police on April 28, 2016.
Sharma then met the officials in the sports ministry, who then forwarded the complaint to the Delhi Police.
“I’ll fight till the end. I’ll see to it that we get to a position where this corrupt IOA official is removed from his position,” Sharma told HT on Thursday.
Vats, meanwhile, said he wasn’t involved in any fraudulent activity as he himself was an affected party. “I am yet to get my money back too. Sandeep is making a wrong allegation against me. I never wrote him the cheques that were dishonoured. Those were given to him by Jagmohan,” Vats said.
“I have also lodged a counter complaint against Sandeep and Jagmohan in the same matter,”Vats added.
This Sharma contents: “Police followed dismissed his complaint as frivolous. He went to court where he lost his plea. Now both him and Jagmohan want to make a compromise with me. But I am determined to bring them to justice.”
