Uber cabbie found dead in Noida
The driver was found dead in his cab in Sector 62 with the car’s seat belt tied around his neck
A driver attached with taxi aggregator Uber was found dead in his cab in Sector 62 in mysterious circumstances on Thursday evening.

Police said the deceased has been identified as Sukhveer. He hailed from Etah in Uttar Pradesh. Sukhveer was found dead with the seat-belt tied around his neck. A case of murder was registered against unidentified persons, police said.
“On Thursday evening, some passersby informed police about a person lying dead in a WagonR near the underpass in Sector 62. A police team rushed to the spot and found a person lying dead on the driver’s seat. The rear left door of the car was open,” said Zahir Khan, station house officer (SHO), Sector 58 station.
“We have taken forensic samples from the spot. It seems like he was strangulated with the seat belt,” said Zahir Khan.
Police said Sukhveer was not robbed as Rs. 3,000 was found in his wallet. His mobile phone and car keys were also recovered from the car.
“His wife and children live in Etah and he used to drive in the national capital region. He left home on Wednesday morning. He did not respond to phone calls from his family on Thursday. His family was informed about the incident,” said Khan.
Police said the body has been sent for postmortem and reports are awaited. Postmortem will ascertain the reason of his death.
“A team was formed to investigate the case. We are probing each aspect of the case,” he said.
