PATNA: Gaya police filed a 462 -page chargesheet in the Gaya road rage murder case on Monday.
The charge sheet named Rocky Yadav, his father Bindi Yadav, a cousin, Teni Yadav and bodyguard Rajesh Kumar as accused in the chargesheet filed in the court of additional chief judicial magistrate, Sanjay Kumar.
The name of Manorama Devi, JD(U) MLC and mother of Rocky was not in the final chargesheet as she is an accused in another case of liquor recovery in which the police have already submitted the case diary and the charge sheet, officials said.
City SP Avkash Kumar confirmed the submission of the case diary and the chargesheet, adding, SSP Garima Malik would write to the district judge to initiate speedy trial in the case.
Police sources said that the chargesheet was ready but got delayed due to late receipt of forensic report. “We maintained our deadline and completed all formalities to initiate speedy trial in Gaya court,” an officer on the special investigation team (SIT), said, adding the evidence was cast in iron. “We have enough to nail it,” he said.
The SIT has recorded the statements of all the four witnesses in the case under Section 164 before a judicial magistrate.
Meanwhile, the court of additional district judge Sachidanand Singh, again deferred the hearing of bail petition of Bindi Yadav in the Aditya Sachdeva murder case
