World’s number six DJ Hardwell has quashed rumours that he is collaborating with Bollywood actor-turned-singer Priyanka Chopra for a single. “I don’t have any plans regarding any (collaborations with Indian artists) at the moment. Not for now but who knows in the future,” the 24-year-old Dutch producer and label manager told us during his recent visit to the country.
Hardwell, whose real name is Robbert van de Corput, says his online fans persuaded him to come here. “I got so much online response from fans in India, so I was really looking forward to playing for them and seeing more of India. I’m getting more requests to come and play here every month and also my fanbase is growing a lot with Indian fans,” said the progressive and electro house DJ, who got behind the console in Mumbai and Delhi respectively, courtesy P3P E Ventures and Cross Bar Entertainment.
Having started his career at the age of 13 and getting recognition from the industry for his new and refreshing take on the scene, Hardwell said that the Indian music market is growing everyday. “Indian market is growing. Just like the growth of the US market, India could be a great market for EDM (Electronic Dance Music), and a big one,” he said.
