Unemployed man shoots himself at Dadar, admitted to hospital
Vijay Geet Bahadur has been unemployed for five years and was getting psychiatric help for depression, the police said
A 32-year-old unemployed tried to kill himself at his Dadar home using a licensed revolver his father owns.

The police said Vijay Geet Bahadur was forced to leave his job as a site supervisor as he was diabetic and had high blood pressure. Bahadur has been unemployed for five years and was getting psychiatric help for depression, the police said.
On Wednesday night, around 10.45pm, Bahadur got home drunk. He went to his parents’ bedroom and shot himself in the chest with his father’s revolver. “His father was president of a labour union and had a permit to keep a revolver,” an officer said. He was rushed to Lilavati hospital.
The Dadar police, investigating the case, said Bahadur had to regularly visit doctors for treatment. “He was getting psychiatric treatment and had started drinking too,” said an officer from the Dadar police station.
