Mumbai model arrested for stalking and threatening to kill another model

The Juhu Police on Saturday arrested a 26-year-old model and dancer for allegedly stalking a woman and threatening to kill her.

“The incident took place at around 3pm when the complainant was at a restaurant. She said that she saw Tinkesh Singh (the accused) staring at her and when she tried to leave, the accused started following her, he also tried to speak to her but the woman tried to avoid him,” said an officer from Juhu police station.

Police further added that when the 28-year-old told Singh that she does not want to have any conversation with him, it irked the accused after which he threatened to kill her.

“He kept saying that he will kill her when the woman reached near the gate of Prithvi theatre. The woman then dialed police emergency number and approached the police station,” the officer added.

Meanwhile, a relative of the woman reached the spot where the incident took place and caught hold of Singh after which he was brought to the police station. The complainant said that she visits Prithvi theatre and the eateries nearby often and the man earlier stared at her, which made her uncomfortable, at the same spot a few months ago.

According to police, the complainant had spotted the accused around five to six months ago staring at her after which the complainant told the police that she did not see him until Saturday.

The officer said that the whole incident of the model being stalked and threatened and the arrest of Singh took place between 3pm and 9pm on Saturday. Singh was booked under section 354D(Punishment for stalking) and section 506(2) (punishment for threatening to kill) under the Indian Penal Code.
