Mumbai film-maker’s office aide flees with ₹5 lakh, booked
According to police, the cash was kept in a bag in the office premises. Another employee who knew about the cash noticed that the accused, Mithilesh Yadav, had stopped showing up for work and got suspicious.
The Juhu police on Wednesday registered a case of theft against an office aide of film-maker Firoz Nadiadwala, after ₹5 lakh cash went missing from the latter’s office.

According to police, the cash was kept in a bag in the office premises. Another employee who knew about the cash noticed that the accused, Mithilesh Yadav, had stopped showing up for work and got suspicious.
“On Monday, the employee noticed that Yadav did not report to work. He remembered that Yadav had once inquired about the bag. He then checked it, only to find that the money was missing,” said a police officer. He alerted Nadiadwala and a complaint was filed at Juhu police station.
According to police, Yadav had been working at the office for more than four years and was familiar with the day-to-day functioning of the office.
A detection team has been formed to track down Yadav. Police are scanning CCTV footage and questioning people in the area. Police traced his phone location, which last showed that he is out of the state.
