Man arrested for forcibly kissing 10-year-old girl in Mumbai
The accused threatened the girl and told her to not tell anyone about the incident
The police arrested a 22-year-old on charges of molestation after he forcibly kissed a 10-year-old girl at her apartment in Kandivli (West) on Thursday.

A local laundryman sent the accused to collect clothes from the girl’s building at 8.30am, as his regular employee was unavailable.
“The girl told him she did not have any clothes to give the laundryman, and shut the door. However, the accused rang the doorbell again. When she reopened the door, he forcibly kissed her,” said an officer from the Kandivli police station.
The accused threatened the girl and told her to not tell anyone about the incident. He then fled. The girl informed her mother about what happened. Her parents approached the Kandivli police station, where a case of molestation was registered.
A team was formed to search for the accused. An official said he was planning to flee the city and was nabbed in time.
He was booked on charges of molestation, house trespass and criminal intimidation under sections of Indian Penal Code, along with other sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
The accused was produced before a metropolitan court and has been remanded in police custody.
