Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Will make state Maoists free, claims Jharkhand CM
Das also asked the audience to chant “Main bhi chaukidar hun” (I too am a chowkidar) in unison. Das was campaigning in favour of the BJP candidate Sunil Kumar Singh from Chatra parliamentary constituency.
Addressing an election meeting in Latehar on Tuesday, chief minister Raghubar Das asked the Maoists to surrender or face bullets. He also talked tough against the party rebels, declaring to settle score with them after the parliamentary elections.

In an half-an-hour address at Balumath block of the district, Das went on to speak about patriotism and gallant actions by the Indian Army while hitting out at Congress and other opposition parties for “encouraging dynastic politics” and targeting nationalist Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also highlighted achievements by his government.
Das also asked the audience to chant “Main bhi chaukidar hun” (I too am a chowkidar) in unison. Das was campaigning in favour of the BJP candidate Sunil Kumar Singh from Chatra parliamentary constituency. The CM also addressed two other rallies in Tandawa and Manatu in the Chatra LS constituency.
The CM meeting at Balumath assumes significance as the black is the home town of BJP rebel and deputy chairperson of Latehar district board, Rajendra Prasad Sahu, who was also known to be very close to the CM. Sahu entered the fray as an Independent after he was denied party ticket.
In his address, Das said, “This is the last chance to you (the Maoists). Surrender otherwise, get ready to face bullets.”
“An Independent from this place is contesting election and seeking votes in the name of caste. We know that he has exploited the poor engaged in coal trade. We will settle score with him after the elections are over,” declared Das in an apparent reference to the BJP rebel candidate.
Das sought people’s support for the BJP in the battle between dynastic rule and democracy where even the farmer’s son could become the Prime Minister of the country.
Das also flayed Congress for questioning the impact of the Balakot strike. “We replied to bullet with bombs and your reply to the insult of our PM by the Congress party should be your votes,” he announced.
The CM informed that his government was working earnestly to provide pucca homes to every poor family at the earliest. “By 2022, everyone in the country will own a home,” he said.
The Latehar district BJP unit chief Lal Amit Nath Shahdev and Latehar Nagar Panchayat chairperson Sitamani Tirkey were prominent among those present on the stage.
