Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday slammed the Congress government at a rally at Appa Dattar Chowk in Dombivli for its failure to eradicate poverty in the past 60 years.
“They may soon promise providing Taj Mahal and a swimming pool for each citizen,” said Fadnavis, mocking the Opposition. “Till now, no Prime Minister had the courage to raise his voice in the United Nations, but we showed them that if need be, we shall even do a surgical strike,” he said.
However, as the CM came late, half way through his speech, people started leaving the rally. Only words will not help the engine run,” said the CM.
Earlier in the day, at Bhiwandi, Fadnavis took potshots at the Opposition and their policies.
