There were 1,446,478 electorate in the Katihar Lok Sabha Constituency in the 2014 elections, out of which 769,044 are male and the remaining 677,434 are female.
According to the estimates of the 2011 census, out of total 3,071,029 population, there were 1,600,430 males and 1,470,599 females in Katihar district.
Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections was 67.6%.
