Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Giridih candidate not named, but AJSU minister campaigns
The BJP has entered into an alliance with All Jharkhand Student’s Union (AJSU) party and parted away with its stronghold Giridih seat.
Senior AJSU party leader and minister Chandraprakash Choudhary has launched poll campaign in Giridih by holding meetings with MLAs of different assembly constituencies falling under the Giridih LS seat. AJSU party is yet to announce the name of its candidate.

Choudhary who reached Dhanbad on Monday had a hectic schedule as travelled a long way from Baghmara (Dhanbad) to Pirtand block in Giridih and back to Tundi assembly segment meeting people and focusing on foes of sitting MP Ravindar Pandey . During the visit those who had some differences with sitting MP were contacted on phone as well as visiting some of them .
BJP Baghmara MLA Dhullu Mahto accompanied him all along .Both Dhullu and Choudhary had reached Khamrabad village under Kharpoka panchayat of this Maoists infested assembly segment in Giridih block and spent four hours there at house of one of the relatives of Baghmara legislator.
Here the two were greeted by Giridih MLA Nirbhay Sahabadi . The three had a closed door meeting for over a two hours . Sahabadi too has extended support to Choudhary during the Lok Sabha elections .
Pirtand , that is part of Giridih assembly segment thus plays a crucial role during elections. Giridih assembly segment has 367 polling booths altogether. Out of these 101 polling stations of this assembly segment fall in Pirtand block and have direct impact of Left wing ultras. It’s an open secret that one who develops a harmonious relations with these forces get a covered support from them during elections.
According to political analyst BJP MLA’s not only as NDA partner have to support AJSU but also to ensure that their votes to remain intact as they too have to face assembly election by end of the year.
Replying to reporters Chandraprakash said ,he is here on directive of party and is trying to acclimatize himself . I am not focusing on foes of Pandey but party cadres both AJSU and BJP . NDA would win all seats in Jharkhand added Choudhary when was asked on polls results.
Both the BJP MLA’s said, “as NDA partner we have responsibility to ensure that our candidate posts victory.”
