Congress’s Thokchom Meinya has defeated the Communist Party of India’s Moirangthem Nara in all the three Lok Sabha elections held since 2004.

Thokchom Meinya has defeated the Communist Party of India’s Moirangthem Nara in all the three Lok Sabha elections held since 2004.
This time, the Congress has fielded former chief secretary of the state O Nabakishore Singh as the party’s candidate for the Inner-Manipur seat. Nabakishore Singh will be up against the CPI’s Nara Singh and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s RK Ranjan Singh among others.
Inner Manipur, one of the two Lok Sabha seat in Manipur, will vote on April 18 and counting will be held on May 23.
